no u can'tOriginally posted by Reveille:I know the title of this topic is just going to attract tons and tons of replies urging TS to think carefully, or just scream "NO NO NO!" But please don't do that, I have no interest, and just want to ask a genuine question.
Say someone served 2 years of National Service (Full-time) up to the rank of CPL and then ORDs.
After completing his studies in a university and acquiring a degree, is it then possible to go back and sign on as an officer?
Or does he need to have made it as an officer during his NSF days?

Different case dude..Originally posted by octega:I believe it is possible that will channel u into OCS provided ur PES is not C and below and physical track record is not too shabby (i.e. ur IPPT, etc), ur BMT/Unit life reviews by ur commanders are not that bad and the huge factor is u got a degree as a scholar (i.e. first class hons + tons of awards/etc/etc).
Truth of the matter is the last point is impt. I came across PES C/E LCP/CPL ORD as clerks, go to England to study medicine come back immediate transition to 2LT/LTA. Although I know I am biased to use MO as an example but it clearly shows how SAF do things: You got the paper, u can go far.

I believe it is possible if the chap has gone thru atleast SISPEC, then cross over would be possible because I did encountered SISPEC-trained cross over officers.Originally posted by cornyfish2000:Different case dude..
Those folks who ORDed as non-MOs who subsequently go on to become doctors, are channeled to an abbreviated MOCC course to become reservist medical officers.
