About the medical checkups

  I have trypanophobia, which is the phobia of needles, so can i know what to expect during the pre NS check up?

  They're gonna poke your vein and draw 10ml of your fcuking blood. While you're there, try to spot how many of you faint or go into fits while having 10ml of your blood drawn. Its a real kick, can you imagine guys fainting just from having 10ml of their blood drawn? We're not talking about 1 or 2 here. We're talking a platoon size a day.

  the bloodtest are to determine your blood group if you dont have it in your IC.
  
  if the people there thinks you need more tests, they will demand more blood from you

  If they're not wearing gloves while they poke you, screw them. Ask them if they're certified to draw blood from you. Chances are, they're just an nsf medic playing tikam with your arm.

  i can bleed or stuff, but no needles, having something inside of me scares me, esp when im not a girl!

  Can you believe so many people go for the pre enlistment check up everyday, including female sign ups and its only the guys who faint when it comes to drawing 10ml of their blood? Geez, dunno if the majority of singapore guys are turning wussies before ns or what.

  There was this parent who claimed his son cannot have his meals in front of other people. That is mental phobia. Got one lagi best, cannot let rain water touch his skin. Geez I wonder where they came up with these things.

  there was a guy who i cam across....scared of needles..
  
  encik neck lock him....alot of commanders grab his limbs...then i whack the needle inside him....seriously...its all ure mind playing tricks...not painful one...

  last tiime my pre-enlist checkup only prick finger only leh....but I find the urine test very comical - a female nurse was telling a bunch of guys how to properly give a 'good' urine sample - "pull back the skin, pee for first five seconds before catching it, etc"
  
  And I saw one guy accompanied by his parents and sister for the test, I nearly die laughing.
  
  Oh, anyone know the objective of the cough test ? why must we pull our pants down and cough, see what har?

  prick finger and draw a tube of blood. i was lucky since for the latter i had a medic who could actually do it properly. u kena those kam gong medics, ho ho ho... if you think thats bad wait till u go to tekong, 2nd day they give u 2 jabs at once and it aint pleasant

  cough test is to check for hernia disorder.
