Enlistment Letters For JC batch

  Just some questions as im planning to go overseas on dec26-jan10
  
  1. When do we get our enlistment letters stating which date is our enlistment? Ie. Jan or April?
  
  2. How do they choose whose in which intake? I heard Jan is for the "brighter" ones but some army clerk told me its all random.. still anyone knows?

  Its all random really. Unless you're the son of some MP, higher chance you end up at mindef doing clerk work or something.

  if you're jc batch, there are dec/jan intakes and mar/apr intakes
  
  dec and mar are for those who fail to achieve a min of silver for NAPFA
  
  as stated, enlistment notices will only come 2/3 months prior to enlistment ( if you're dec/jan batch)
  
  As such... best to get the letter than plan for an overseas trip (if it's possible)

  Clear your Napfa and you will be safe for the entire month of Dec. Earliest you can get called up is start of January.
