why need to use parents?
be like li hongyi.......wanna complain, put own big name right there. -
I wouldn't be suprised that he ask his ah pa and ah gong for help which is why he only get reprimined and did not get any other more serious punishments

the parents method has some use... even in the army... unless u r really in an injust situation, kena terod terod abuse of authority/power then last resort use.
sometimes, if suay suay kena charged in army, last resort oso call parents to speak to the s1 officer / chief clerk... it helps in the leniency section of the charge report the officer (usually Admin Officer/ S1 Officer) is typing whose holding the appt of the "unit appointed judicial disciplinary officer" for internal charge, without going higher up to summary trial/ court martial. i encountered this bugger case... CO actually wanted to throw him inside db squat... ask parents help to speak to S1... S1 consulted CO abt the case... the plight... finally CO decided to let him SOL 21 days.

i have witnessed a NSF in my unit using his parents to complain.
before going into army, i thought that 21 year olds would not do these kinda crap. but he did it. no surprise, that he is one of the condemned people.
the most memorable threat of using his parents to complain is that he doesnt wanna go to cohesion coz need to "look after his younger brother" although it is a working day. -

I was doing duty and a mother called to ask why her kid always kena confined.
She still got the cheek to say, "what are you trying to prove confining my kid every weekend?"
All i did was to take out his confinement report and read it to her,
1) Blatant refusal to follow orders to do area cleaning
2) Using handphone past lights off
3) Instigating a fight in bunk
4) failure to sign armskote book.
Then i told aunty usually such cases would make him to go DB.
She quickly change her tone, "Thank you thank you for your kindness, yes, you should disicipline my son, i cannot control him at home" (in chinese)
Another case is is one mom called company line at night, apparently her son was ATT C for 41C fever and just got home. She is appalled that the MO only give him 2 day ATT C and asked to report back to camp the next evening.
I told her it is beyond our control that MO's decides to give ATT C, also advised her that he can go to private doctor to get extension.
She got pissed and changed subject saying, "How can you let a feverish guy go home on his own?"
errm? you expect a rover to send him home? -
should've hauled his sorry ass to DB instead.

i heard from my medic who ORD later than me that he was called back during his ORD leave/off because he didnt do his reports and didnt pass to his understudy. how screwed up is that? i feel very sad he and i wear the same rank, badge, and uniform.
therefore keeping his "unique character" in mind, he is unwilling to even take off to "take care of his bro", never mind leave. he just wants to get lost without going for one stupid cohesion. and that is just ONE of the incidences.
i dun say people are condemned without a good reason. -

I last time got fever n cannot come back to endorse MC. I asked my mother to call my unit to inform them I cannot come back to endorse MC.

There was once the Mo ask the medic to call me to go back camp to endorse mc. I ask him can I go back after my mc ended to endorse it. He say the MO wants me to go back today to endorse.
I say I want to speak to the MO.
He say the MO don't want to speak to me. MO just want to see my mc

Don't know leh,last time my Unit is the company clerk help us endorse MC,only those who alway take MC VERY often have to endorse themselves by coming back to the camp
Back to the main topic,it really no point to use parents to complain,true it may help but the relationship between you and your superior may get worsen,i still believe in giving and taking,if my section IC treat me well,i will help her to complete the job faster and efficient ,if not i just anyhow do -
If you going to kena DB of course faster ask your parents come and help you la. Its not a joke lor.
Sometimes also if really unjust and unfair punishment you lan lan also have to seek help. Sometimes this is how the SAF works. Nobody squeeze their balls, they don't work.
Like one time someone's relative pass away and the guy was refused off to go for the wake coz not direct relative. End up the parents call and say "even MP got time to come for the wake, how come the son got no time."
Next thing you know, the person got his off and a free ride to the nearest mrt station. Lol. -
