what does SIB do?
I heard that there is a number which you can call to complain about your officers.
IS it calling the SIB to complain? -
they investigate the X-Files

i remember my unit ( FDS ) was raid by SIB when my FWO call them to conduct raid for vcds and drugs.. They came in 2 3 tonner and their dog sct was also activated. RP LL sux thumb have to clear them even they dont have any paper. -

the SIB guys that "interviewed" me during a suicide attempt of my man is an NSF.
Kinda doubt the reliability of their investigations since they are NSF. no experience. as far as i know, they are 2LT estab....but they don't go OCS.
but his supervisor is a DXO with CPT estab. -

Yeah, they wear civilian. At most, their version of the No.3 uni.
Encountered them twice in NS, both after training accidents. The first time was more of a second-hand anecdote, from a selected few who were singled out to give them eyewitness accounts. (My RSM took over the rest of us shocked troops & basically drilled us non-stop on the parade square, in preparation for a military funeral.)
The second time was during the next mono-intake, when a wayward grenade throw from a recruit resulted in my fellow instructor-cum-BMT photographer taking sharpnel in the gut. Two civilian cars came down, all but one of its occupants were in plain clothes. One of them had a quick word with me, but left upon establishing that me & my recruits were in a sheltered training shed far away at the time of the accident. The IOs were fairly young, as I recall. Could've been regulars, but none as old as my then-Encik (who was 26 or so).
The SIB seems to be a small sub-unit, I believe. A bit like a unit's S1 cell, but proportionally large enough to investigate for the whole SAF. Their OC seems to be of a CPT's rank, tops. -

SIB does not conduct raids in Army Camps. All the raids are done by the MP Enforcement Unit. The Primary Role of SIB is to investigate into cases such as Thefts, Vandalism, Allegations Made by servicemen, and etc.
For those who had a chance to encounter SIB personnel and think their investigations are not reliable because they are young, it's a misconception. if investigations are not reliable, cases would not have been broken and solve. Culprits who took away your valuables by breaking into your cabinets would also have not been caught. Even in real life police work, not all cases can be broken. -

SIB is probably the SAF's version of the CID. Investigation as opposed to enforcement.
