Many people dying to get a chance to jump and experience the rush and this guniang trying to siam. tsk tsk tsk. Times have changed so much.
i am juz asking if seriously need to jump, if yes then u juz have to reply yes, i will juz parachute if i am really accepted into comando -
i dunno about comandos pharachute thing la
but i know pharachute got 2 type
the round one (airdrop)and rectangular one (free fall)
im not sure comandos use what kind of pharachute maybe round ones ?
but what i see in the documentry + my logic
i think round one are quite safe ba
coz i see their back that carry the pharachute is velcro-ed and the bag is hook to the rope on top so the bag is attached to the plane
so when jump , the bag is hooked on plane and the velcro came open releasing the pharachute
unless you tangle up the pharachute ropes , i dun think there any problem
another harzard may be the landing , land salah place you might injured yourself
anyway , i may be wrong , someone may wish to correct me -

Hey kiddo, its not as if every single jumper had zero fear of heights. Oh well, since I guess you only noticed my post instead of the clear answer spelt out in ditzy's earlier post, my apologies then for diverting your attention from the answer you so desperately (and probably unneccessarily) seek.
Oh, btw this cbk, together with Ged and all the others, had been crazy enough to jump out of a fully functioning aircraft with nought but some strings and a piece of cloth on our backs. I said it once and I'll say it again, nothing else seems fun after that. -

No offence intended for the riggers here mate. I was merely stating some facts that I witnessed personally. Both SAF and Thai methods don't really reflect in this video. Don't know about the US airborne and the Aussie one becuause I haven't done that. SAF got 2 types of parachuting...Static Line Parachuting and Military Free Fall aka. NDP style. Most CDOs, correct me if i'm wrong here, will do the Static Line one. For some, they say its simple as "Standy-up, Hook-up, Shuffle to the door, Jump right down by the count of 4", others say it took an eternity and a helluva lot of pushing to get to the door. All in all, have fun and enjoy it. I know I will.

I just happen to have these two badges along with a few others. I wont wear any of those badges anymore because I think they look like patchwork on the new uniform design.
Me in my old uniform (The newer one with the straight edge pockets. I threw my older ones out a long time ago). think it looks much better than the eyesore uniform with "SINGAPORE" tag.
