Just got back. Went there late afternoon, initially raining like hell but finally the skies cleared (my hunch was spot on).
Why didn't anyone forewarn it was NCC day or something?? About 85 percent of the turnout when I was there were the freakin' cadets; another 10 were students in uniforms; & the remaining 5 civilians.
Plenty of foreign big shots too, along with their press photographers. -
Anyone got pics? I'm going tmr so i'll see if i can post some here...

No pics, but a quick review ...
1. "COMBAT WORLD"
1a. "Hardware Land" was where the static displays are. Very satisfying for me, asking & learning all about the latest equipment.
1b. "Time Crisis" was a paintball arena or something inside a tentage. Skipped.
1c. "Mortal Combat" was rained out when I was there. Instead of a "2-sided battle with the Tactical Engagement Systems", everyone was talking cover inside the training shed ~lol~ From what I surveyed, I'd mistakenly thought this was the paintball arena.
1d. "Rambo 07" was small-weapons (SAR-21, M16 etc.) firing but wayang cuz it's all with blanks while aiming at tactical targets.
1e. "Virtual Land" was a bit like Singapore Science Center, but with combat simulations (3D viewpoint of sniper, recee trooper, combat engineer, etc). Surprisingly no visitors when I was there, maybe it's located a bit out of the way.
1f. "The Hitman" was live-firing with the SAR-21, but I missed it. Must take bus to the range, anyway.
2. "ACTION WORLD"
The daily schedule lists "Urban Operations Show" at 1pm, "Heroes On Parade" (marchpast?) & "Red Lion Freefall Display" at 3pm, "Homeland Security Show" at 7pm, plus fireworks at 7:30 during the weekends. Suppose to take place in a big parade square, but nothing happening when I was there.
3. "FUTURE WORLD"
Taking place inside an auditorium behind the big parade square. I think this is supposed to be a movie or something of what the future SAF & battlefields will look like. All I saw were flickering images standing outside (they were hosting it for the big shots) before I lost interest.
4. "DOWNTOWN WEST"
4a. "Yummy Land" got free samples of combat rats but, get this, they are also selling regular army meals (Vegetarian Set, Muslim Set, etc.) at $5 each!
4b. "Family Land" was a playground for the kids, plus also introductory booths for SAF Yacht Club & the like.
5. "MISSION WORLD"
I confused this one with another &, together with the stop-star rain, ended up missing it altogether. My priority rtoo, after first scouting it on the AOH wensite. Damn! It's supposed to take you (but not sure what vehicle) on a ride deeper into the Live Firing area -- past Peng Kang, FoFo, Elephant Hill, E-Shape Knoll, Bajau, 106 Ramp) on a search-&-destroy. Damn! Damn! Damn!
6. "BATTLE RIDE WORLD"
The one I confused the above with, but at least this was satisfactory. Sit inside an armoured vehicle as it traveres through the BCTC village, meeting enemy fire, smoke bombs, etc. Tip: choose the Bionix or Light Strike Vehicle if you have a choice; the others not allowed to stand or smell the surroundings.
7. "A.C.E. WORLD (Army Culture & Experience)"
I overlooked this. But not too bad, cuz I was told the trips past Peng Kang & up to Fofo (& BCTCtoo?) was cancelled due to bad weather. The other two ferry stops are the old SAFINCO bunks & OCS.
8. "XTREME WORLD"
8a. "Fear Factor Land" is SOC, Flying Fox & Rappelling. No thanks.
8b. "Hercules Land" is gym equipment & IPPT stations. As if. Skipped.

Did The Hitman(SAR21 Live Shoot), Marksman (SMT) and Time Crisis (Paintball). Time Crisis was a big disappointment, 20 rounds of paintball for 10 targets.
