How To Win A Argument With Regular..Or should i not start it

haiz i m working under a regular (SSG) whom in my opinion CMI....Always talk big, qn ppl, n give those kind of look u wana punch.
I was given so little training in wad i am supposed to do, in fact i am doing the actual stuff while learning and of course i m bound to make mistakes etc. N when it happen he explodes, questioning me n scolding me. There was even once my colleague parents when to screw the regular. I have been working overtime to meet the demands n when i call him after office hrs to ask him soemthing, he argued back,saying why i always give him so much trouble even after office hrs...
This is it, i am not going to suffer like a dog, there are several times i almost wanted to explode n argue back but i held back. I was wondering should i vent it out. Seriously i still got until MAY 2008, do i need to show him i m not a person to be easily taken advantage of? -
this arguement sounds like you are doing his job...maybe you might want to state clearly what is the arguement about.
as NSF i always think you are required to do what you suppose to do
nothing much nothing less.
if he take advantage then better sound off. -

basically i was doing this stuff which supposed to be done long ago, but with so much work to do,i cant finish it. I overlook something, thus forgotten to do it. This happen after office hr, i want to finish something then i realise i forget to do something which is my mistake, i called my regular and asked him wad to do n he scolded me, saying why he gimme so much trouble n told me to see him on Mon. Yes i may have overlooked, its my mistake but i m learning while doing it. PPl bound to make mistakes wad, why does he have to do this?
This aint the 1st time, always accusing me of doing wrong stuff, procastinating etc -
Just remind yourself, you fcuk out of there in less than a year, he's in it for life.

if you dont wan to argue with him then be more careful in future and use the black note book to joint down whatever you suppose to do and you wouldnt forget after sometime.

Can we know the nature of your work? Store clerk? Medic? S1 clerk?
Depending on your work and how close you are with more senior people, there are many solutions but argue back not the ideal solution. -

u will be glad that u withstand all his nonsense when he's good to u again.
i got a suggestion.
next time he flares up at u, u jus say "okok.np." then smile back at him.
if he asks why u smiling so widely, tell him that "nothing la..im juz amazed at how people can be so angry when under stress. learn how to relax a bit ok, staff?" then pat him on the back and smile at him.
i bet he will be so taken aback and wun be so mean to u next time.

i think it's not wise to argue cos lets face it, the army is about ranks, no matter how fark up they are, they are still higher rank than u. u can't win.

yup i do take notes, basically i m doing store work other than my medical duties. But as a medic, I suggest you talk to your SSG and tell him straight that you will work better with less shouting. But you are there already so many months, isn't it time you get a hold of things there and make less mistakes. -

You sound like you have an attitude problem. I might not be right but you certainly come across as such. -
well in the 1st place i wasnt train and taught properly. For e.g theres a task for me to do, i learn n pick up from SSG n do on the spot. Of course if i did made a mistake, i get fked ok nvm, the prob is i get fked for something that wasnt taught and handed over to me properly in the 1st place. -
You haven't been taught or you forgot? In the posts above you said you forgot. If you forget something it implies that you know that you should have done something but you did not do it.
As I said, suck it in and stop whinging like a girl.
And what do you mean by you took the 'initiative' to work after office hours. That is not a valid concept, the concept doesn't exist in the army. YOu have work to do, you finish it! -
But if you feel aggrieved, I suggest you go up the chain of command.

No Matter How Angry You Are, Just Be Mindful that Your "end" Is nearing, Your Freedom Awaits You After "x much time". Treat His Scoldings And Unreasonable Remarks As A Reflection Of What You Will Do If You Are In His Boots. If you see him in the mass or canteen during happy hours or free time you can always talk to him casually and tell him how you feel, and improve. -
