SINGAPORE : Rear Admiral (RADM) Ronnie Tay will be the new Chief Executive Officer of the Infocomm Development Authority Of Singapore (IDA) from November 19.
He will take over from Mr Chan Yeng Kit, who is due to return to the Administrative Service.
In a statement, IDA said Mr Chan, who has been the IDA CEO since January 2005, has led the development of the Intelligent Nation 2015 or iN2015 masterplan.
It was during his term at IDA that the infocomm industry recorded an all-time high growth, with total revenue reaching S$45.4 billion in 2006.
Under his leadership, IDA brought about the development of infrastructure, the promotion of the local infocomm industry and the adoption of greater infocomm in the various government sectors.
RADM Tay has been holding various key positions in the Singapore Armed Forces since 1981.
Appointed the Chief of Navy in April 2003, he led the transformation of the Singapore Navy into one that is known for its cutting-edge technologies, new fighting doctrines and broad operation spectrums. - CNA/ms -
I think he gonna ORD very soon right...? or ORD already? He undertaking an advance management course in france now if am not wrong...
He already stepped down as chief of navy last month....

Its not about payment. iDA also Government pocket, so left and right pocket no difference.
If he comes back for NS as CNV, then what the new CNV do ? Clear leave ?
The new CNV should call all the ex-CNV for 40 days NS, then he can go for half year leave. -
