I have too many friends who are not only combat fit, but due to their vocation in army, they would be the frontline defence...I think through out the war I'd be worried about their safety more than worrying about Singapore losing the war.
And how the hell are any of the soldiers going to be able to concentrate while worrying about their own family's lives?
In the event of an actual war, i would try my god damn best to get my family out first.....AND THEN i would TRY to defend Singapore. -

Weeks before something BIG is going to happen, many reserve units will be notified by SMS or email to be on alert amb**. Those more garang units will be on alert r**.
Most of you guys will not smell a rat yet. Alert manning is part and parcel of our NSF/NS life right? Those who are more creative in their cognitive process will start to feel uneasy.
Two days days before the BIG event, some units will be quietly mobilized. They report to camp, get fully kit up, issued 2 times contact rate ammo. They are forced to hand over all their communication devices. They will be deployed at forward sector Alice, Betty, Chayenne, Doris, etc.
Most people will still be kept in the dark.
One day before the BIG event, the rest of the units will be mobilized and equiped. A order will be sent out for all NSmen to report.
People start to get really worried now.
The next day, the first shot is fired...
Almost all able bodied men will be with their units liao. How to take passport and run?

If you have studied international relations or strategic studies, work in related industries and monitor current events on a daily basis (not just from mainstream news networks, but also from localised sources and feeds), you will have some idea when any conflict might start from, quite long in advance.
There are signs around that we can tell, if we observe them or are dedicated to inform and educate ourselves enough too. -

in terms of war breakout ... i tink they need to declare the time of attack 1st and the reason ... whatever the time is ... i believe sg will be the 1st to atk .... the best defence is the best offense ... ? XD still waiting for my enlistment date
