3/6SIR/CDO/GRDS old LBV and field pack

Did Johsen or D&G make the old LBV and fp given to the man of 3/6SIR, CDO and GRDS a few years ago? Do they sell to walk-in customers?

seems to me the force 21 and D&G current LBVs have the same design?

D&G only started mass producing the LBV in 2005, they were shown the Force 21 samples and they just started producing from there on.

Then how did Johsen come into the picture? -
The design 'belongs' to the SAF, probably modified from US Army equipment.
All these suppliers just make according to what the SAF wants. They do not go through the development stages to know find out the weak areas which require re-inforcement layers. They just take one sample and copy, so outlook will be the same, but internal materials and stitching requirements will vary. -

When my Bn was first given the LBV and field pack for trials.
Lots of my men's equipment tore within the first weeks.
Told my CSM, he said, "this kind how to take replacement"
Told my OC, "tell your CSM"
Told RQ, "I will follow up" (obviously nothing happened)
Told QM, "Once issued to the men, men have to be responsible" (whatever that means)
Then during one of the exercise, CO saw my men's equipment in bad condition and scolded the PC and 3SGs, "you must care for your soldiers, when their equipment is in bad condition, you should let the CSM know".
