Re BMT After ORD ?

Hey guys, posting this on behalf of my cousin as he is not good with computers, he is interested to redo his bmt, he has ord already.
He is currently pes c9 and 22 year old but is considering upgrading if medically possible to pes A or B and doing the standard BMT and then maybe go for the SISPec Or OCS, but he does not plan to sign on.
He just want to do it as a challenge to himself and also relearn his millitary skills because he did not learn much in his modified 7 week bmt as he was very negative about it at that time , but he pass the course netherless because they don't fail u in modified bmt as long as u never attend C for too long. Lastly he was clerk in his nsf days and he wants to do well during his ICT and not mess up stuff, espcially during outfield exercise which he has little experience with.
Advice and comments welcome.

He's PES C9, has ORD, just get on with life. -

No, impossible. No such legal provisions; neither is it practical nor investable (kinda like a Poly grad asking why lose out go to NTU -- cannot double-subsidise everyone, mah).
Anyway, those Pes C9 are supposed to be on 5-year standby, i.e. can still kena reservist. If never called back, they're still posted on to MINDEF reserve & won't be formally discharged until they turn 40 (will receive a confirmation letter). -
tell your cousin don't worry during reservist he can upgrade than he has to do IPPT. He is suffering from low self esteem and inferiority complex due to failure to complete BMT. He just needs to see a psychiatrist or psychologist or counsellor to up his self esteem.

Oops, that should be "posted on to MINDEF holding list". Only those on the nominal rolls of reservist units would go on Army Operational Reserve together, after finishing their cycle.
BTW The SAF can sometimes delay the latter too, if an NSF unit hasn't ORDed yet to take over yours in the overall ORBAT. It happened with my unit, after our stand-down parade & long-service awards/certificates of appreciation. We had to spent an extra year on Operational Extended Holding: no ICT, IPPT or mob manning but liable for any real-ops call-up.
I know we all like to call the conscript part of military service as "NS." But National Service Liability, as promulgated under the Enlistment Act, actually ends only when you turn 40 or 50 (depending on your rank status). Hence at 22 or 32 years respectively, it's actually one of the longest service tenures in the world. What I can confirm it'll actually end on your birthday at those older ages. So, mathematically speaking, it'll be 9 months' more NS liability for those 18-year-olds who'd enlisted in March vs. those in the December batch.
Hence, whether you do reservist or not, there's a bureaucratic record of your status in the military (until you're formally discharged). If you have a reserve service booklet, your PES status is noted inside too. The medical classification stays with you unless you kena "boarded" (upgrade or downgrade).
