I have some question to ask as i am newbie on this vehicles.
-Is this a Tank or something like a vehicles that carry people ?
-Is the interior really so hot that driver like me will get heat-stroke?
-Is is true that is will topple over very easy when traveling in uneven ground?
-Is the the most lousy vehicles left in SAF?
-Is the Maintenance very troublesome?
Thank you if u have any answer to those question
wats the diff btn an IFV and APC ?Originally posted by SpecOps87:Posted to Armour?
Well...not a Tank, but a Armoured Personal Carrier (APC),interior is not that hot if you're moving and no...its not easy to topple over unless you're recles.. And lastly...no...its no the WORST vehicle in SAF.
IFV=Infantry Fighting Vehicle, APC=Armoured Personnel Vehicle...the former is used mainly to fight infantrys and the other is to protect personnels going on missions..Originally posted by I_love_my_toilet:wats the diff btn an IFV and APC ?
Care to share some here?Originally posted by LazerLordz:You may get to learn flotation tricks too.
Its a matchbox with 2 sticks instead of a steering wheel for you to drive with. Yes, the interior is so fricking hot, no wonder they call it a matchbox. Anything that travels over uneven ground has a chance to topple. You could say its the last of what saf has to offer. Maintenance is always troublesome for whatever is left last to offer.Originally posted by Jp1:I am supposed to drive this vehicles.

for M113 i know nuts, for BX..well...there is a stack of canvas wall folded hidden at sides of the IFV...just before u enter the water the canvas is being unfolded and propped up into postion using wooden poles(not that sure now...knowledge being thrown back to SAF) to hold up the canvas to prevent them from going down back into vehicle...once that is done u wear ya floating suit and enjoy the ride on water......and dun forget u definitely will get to use the floating suit one..dun worry...Originally posted by wonderamazement:Care to share some here?
I'll let the M113 drivers share it.Originally posted by wonderamazement:Care to share some here?

The perks only come when they get back to camp, and have to crawl under their vehicle and clean off every bit of mud with a hose.Originally posted by kengkia:and yet the drivers gotta wear coverall which is more hotter than normal number 4 on top of that.. ...but the perks is they dun need chiong sua....

How protected can you get man? M113's armour consists of Aluminum...unless with ERA, the max it can stop is 7.62mm. Come to think of it...if someone fires a RPG at a M113...it will go right through man.Originally posted by specialOps:the positive side is that this vehicle has some good weapons.
40/50 meaning a 40mm Automatic Grende Launcher and a 0.50-inch Heavy Machine Gun.
Unless you meet an enemy slow Russian tank or a Singapore-BX-gone-Crazy, your ULTRA should be the most powerful fighting vehicle in the region.
Its old, but metal is still metal, they do not degrade...but upgraded with very advanced weapons.
After you're in armour awhile, they will tell you how protected you are in a real war....i can't tell u more....
There's add-on armor kits for the Ultras.Originally posted by SpecOps87:How protected can you get man? M113's armour consists of Aluminum...unless with ERA, the max it can stop is 7.62mm. Come to think of it...if someone fires a RPG at a M113...it will go right through man.
