Get pink IC illegally

  I got a friend who just enlisted into ns. He wants to make a fake police report that he lost his pink ic so that he can make another pink ic than it will be easier for him to find a part time job.
  
  Will the police be able to find out?

  my friend got his Pink IC back when he disrupted after passing IPPT and S1 forget to take back
  
  Caused a big hoo haa when he ORD because CMPB (or whatever dept holding his NRIC cannot find it)

  What happened was he disrupted and got pink IC back for 2 weeks.
  
  During the 2 weeks he lost his wallet. SO when he went back to continue NS he just verbally tell PC he lost his wallet durng that 2 weeks but he continued making his new IC (with fees waived somemore).
  
  So the matter rested then and so in his docket (or whereever) there is no record that his Pink ic was returned.
  
  When he was ord-ing, they can't find his pink IC and so CO went to "mess up" the company to see if there was admin lapse somewhere.

  Tell ur friend not to be stupid, or think that the SAF or the Police is stupid. Don't you think that the police can find out somehow that he is currently serving NS, and that his IC should be somewhere safe within CMPB?
  
  And it is an offence that may require jail time. So either he is dying to go into Changi and let people poke his backside, or he is really just an ignorant guy who thinks he can play with the rules.

  Make another pink i/c from who? You mean from ICA Building (at Lavender)? Why on earth will they issue out another once they check the same NRIC number & discover the original card is supposed to be retained at CMPB upon enlistment?
  
  If you mean identity theft, the present IC is not easy to replicate like the old one. Its security features are very sophisticated: photo, thumbprint & barcade all scanned; logo & NRIC number holographically imaged; wordings all laser-engraved; & the card itself specially colour-toned. More "easier" to use someone else's IC, but that method can be checked for tell-tale signs too.

  the only legal ways to earn income during NS.
  
  1) Stocks & shares
  2) Be an insurance agent BEFORE NS, so you just earn the annual commission.
  3) trading
  4) investments.
