Hari Raya got off?

  13 October next saturday is hari raya.
  
  Anyone knows whether on monday 15 october will be a off day too? Or does every unit have their own policy?

  Manpower directive states that we will be entitled to one day off when public holiday falls on Sat. This off must be taken within 6 mths.
  
  I wonder what's the situation if someone's doing regimental duty on hari raya. does he get off for doing duty on a public holiday PLUS the off due to a public holiday falling on a saturday. if he gets 2 offs then its quite a good deal..haha.

  Its 2 weeks from ord
  
  I want to double confirm because if there is an off in lieu, it means I will have 1 less day to work, which means 9 more working days to ord instead of 10

  I think its up to the commander to decide right..
  
  If the commander don't want to give 1 day off than you also can't do anything even though its stated in the directive..

  i believe in this case the person will get only 1 day off cos doing duty on a public holiday only applies on weekdays since your 1st example overlaps your 2nd example on the same holiday.

  but if someone is doing duty on a weekday public holiday, he gets 1 day off due to losing 1 day public holiday.
  
  let's say someone does duty on a public holiday which falls on saturday like hari raya on 13 october.
  
  he burns his saturday and gets one day off.
  
  everyone else gets their saturday but also gets one day off (as stated in directive since one day off should be given for public hol which falls on sat)
  
  abit unfair to the guy who did duty on sat, no?
