  Let's say if a person is formally a Permenant Resident and have converted to Singapore Citizen. When he serve NS, what is he most likely to kana?

  A SC-convert does not serve NS at all. Only his children does.

  No prejudice, on the whole. I've served alongside with even PRs before in a combat unit. (Mostly Indonesian Chinese.)

  PRs do serve NS. Two of my medic colleagues are PRs. Because of that, they couldn't get their OA card.

  I think security problem is based on other checks, but PRs are not specifically excluded from any particular role.

  True, some vocations may be more sensitive & thus more strigent in their criteria. But, to respond via another tangent to your post, the majority of PRs who were conscripted in my time had done their schooling here too. In other words, they've gone through all the National Education curriculum as the citizen students. What I dunno if whether today's PR batches are just as "indoctrinated" prior to enlistment. But if they still are, I can't see why they can't be as "trustworthy" as those who'd grown up overseas all their life & only returned to serve NS to keep their pink IC.
