  The ranks of servicemen in the uniformed services of the Singapore Armed Forces, in order of seniority, shall be as follows:

  Major yi jimm...LTC neng jimmm.....COL sar jimmm....and for BG and above....my hokkien not that fantastic so i can't answer.... star in hokkien...i dunno...

  SAF chinese equivalent rank name is defined by the Rank and Dressing Comittee of Mindef
  
  I saw a book before on the chinese equivalent
  
  It is a interesting book only available with the registry
  
  Warrant Officer are known as Zhun Wei
  
  so 2WO is Er ji Zhun Wei
  
  and MWO is Zhun Wei Zhang
  
  SWO is Gao Ji Zhun Wei

  wrong. BG = Zhun Jiang, MG = Shao Jiang, LG = Zhong Jiang.

  There's another rank GEN = General (Jiang Jun)
  
  That one Singapore haven't promote to the CDF there yet, although many smaller armies in the world give their chiefs GEN.
  
  But the minister is by de facto GEN. His carplate is 4-stars as a symbol of that.
