What are the creteria to get a sword?

  As mentioned in the Subject.
  
  Anyone who knows how to be presented with a personal sword during the course of NSF?
  
  Although I know that by graduating from OCS, then will they be presented with the swords, but are the any other ways to be presented with swords other than going through OCS?

  a sword is a symbol of officership. thus i'm quite certain the only way to aquire a sword is to have graduated from OCC. buying from beach road is another alternative... i can't be totally sure if you can get it that way, but it would be meaningless

  Rise up the ranks; be a Parade RSM in a parade. There, you'll get your ceremonial sword.
  
  But sword is just a sword. You can buy in from anywhere, online or custom-make. if what you want is to hold on the sword and feel 'shiok', then go custom-make one or buy a plastic toy-type.
  
  Sword is just but a symbol of recognision for OCS graduants. If you're empty inside, then no point having the sword.

  Swords are worn at a parade or ceremony where the No 1 dress is prescribed, for the following officers:
  
  1. Reviewing Officer (if they are commissioned SAF Officer)
  2. Officers escorting the Reviewing Officer
  3. Commander of the Formation/Unit organising the parade or ceremony
  4. Parade Commander
  5. Contingent Commanders
  6. Supernumerary Officers
  7. Parade RSM
  
  All Officers of the rank of Major and above will don the ceremonial sword for functions/ ceremonies when instructed. As a general rule, swords need not be worn during indoor ceremonies.

  I heard from my platoon mate that by being a commando, and to be participating in just 1 one the NDP, than will be able to get a personal sword (Name Craved On It).
  
  How true is it?
  
  It's something that can't be bought.

  Coz I went to my fren's hse and saw the Sword as he graduated from OCS ma..

  I was thinking of the Stilleto, which I suppose is more of a dagger/knife (& awarded to CDOs, not GDSmen -- mea culpa). Of course, every servicemen owns a jackknife too, to argue it that way ....
