maybe give an ang pow together with pink ic on ORD day...

ang pow inside $20 or $50... packed n sealed by the CO or Commander of the unit

then the ang pow outside printed SAF logo n maybe 'Wish u all the best'

maybe it'd make soldiers happier? give them something more to look forward to on their ord day.

I think they should give us our personal rifle to bring back home to keep..Everyone also got one except those non-combat one example:storemen clerks etc Mad

Then reservist can just sling on our back and report back to camp got war also can respond fast no nid to go camp take bullet

Then hor every commando will be given a hercules or a chinook of their choice to park at their multi-story carpark,one set of parachute pack, and SAR21

Guards will be given one light-strike vehicle and Sar21 also no chinook for them due to tight budget

Artillerymen will be given a FH2000 howitzer each and afew HE rounds per month to shoot everywhere they like

Civil servents are very scare and sensitive to see and hear the word "Ang Pow".The moment you mention "Ang Pow",their thinking immediately come to "bribe".
So,avoid using the word"Ang Pow" when we talk to those regular officers. Cool

But no more "run-out date" like before, what. Now it's all about "operational ready date." "ROD", as formerly defined, is now extended till the end of NS liablity (40 or 50 years old). Be lucky never tio in-camp or mobilisation briefing letters together with that pink IC ~lol~

In any case, aren't events still as dramatic outside the camp gate on ORD day? Some opportunistic ex-Hokkien peng or would always challenge some ex-NSF officer to "settle" matters, now that everyone's civilian again.

And you want the CO to give out any pows?

Some ORDs can be very dramatic, some just low-key.

I spent my ORD day(Sunday) asleep. Having collected my NRIC the Friday before, and I was alone. Embarassed
