btw, how come some people can kenna mono-intake?Not "some". Quite a lot, in fact. Except for Signals, all the other combat formations muster their "main body" (Hokkien peng) this way. So we're talking about some 20 units -- SAR (4), SA (4), SIR (6), GDS (2), SCE (4) -- although not everyone are ORDing at the same time. Then you have NDU & CDO, as well as the SPF & the SCDF, who all also do their own mono-intaking.

OPFOR is Guards-trained? Does that mean they go through GCC? That's the first i've heard of it.Originally posted by blitzonic:I was responding to another poster, not you.
That said, not completely sure about SPF. They call theirs mono-intake too but their BMT is all done at the Police Academy, I believe. Kinda like their version of Tekong BMTC. So where got mono?
Of the 20 units I alluded to, there is one (24 SA) which I'm not sure about. A lot of sophisticated equipment in that unit, which may be too cheem for mono-intakers. If so, then it should be grouped with 1 SIG & the SADA units (Air Defence Arty -- are they SAF or RSAF?) as combat support units requiring more qualified personnel.
Come to think about it, can anyone confirm TRADOC/ATEC's Aggressor Company is also mono-intake? They're supposed to be GDS-trained.

Don't take all that you read in Tim Huxley's book as correct.Originally posted by blitzonic:Tim Huxley mentioned it in his book, hence my query.
