MDC: Music & Drama Company Orchestra

hi! i'll be enlisted coming december. I have been wondering whether i should go for the mdc orchestra audition and be posted to the unit after BMT (i was from the youth orchestra so got high chance of entering) or should I go through my NS in 'normal' units.
Any suggestions? Will it be more meaningful to be posted to SISPEC/OCS or should I just go into a 'slack' unit like the orchestra? What's your perception of MDC (i know some ppl see MDC as a 'gay' and 'unfit' unit). Thanks in advance. -

i was thinking that going to somewhere more 'xiong' will help to develop me into a more rugged and confident person.
on the other hand I have lots of passion in music and being in the MDC orchestra will allow me more time to practice and maybe pick up another instrument.
how i wished I can have both.

having been a part of the youth orchestra does not mean you have high chance of joining the MDC orchestra after your BMT.
it just means that you will do well in your auditions.. that's all.
even if you DO very well on your audition, they will take a look at your pes status and etc. before determining whether to post you to a combat unit or not.
I, myself, hoped for the same outcome before joining BMT. However, because i was pes B, i was ineligible to be part of MDC... -

MDC Music Department side more high-brow, except for their rock band, IMO. My outsider impression is theirs is quite a small world too, recruiting mostly from current national or school orchestras.
Artiste Department side more "drama", & get to perform a lot more too. -
