I couldn't even stick my head around the corner in some of my courses, let alone have time to try standing in the open with a ladder
I wonder how much it weighs.. if it is that good I wonder if I can steal oneOriginally posted by I_love_my_toilet:i would say tat ladder is a masterpiece
do u know how difficult to make a flexible and light thing rigid enough to
withstand men weight ?
this innovative ladder was actually from SCDF
try to unfold the ladder under cover lor
definitely lighter than most ladders we see. u imagine a soldier carrying it while he chiong lor. if since they can chiong, shldnt be that heavy.Originally posted by chanjyj:I wonder how much it weighs.. if it is that good I wonder if I can steal one
2 SIR CO last batch was a ColNot so simple. LTC is supposed to be a senior officer & that, even for super highfliers, one must go through the SCSC course before awarding the rank. (He may also have time to finish a Masters degree on the side, if he wants to.) To command a BN, I thought attending the "intermediate" BN Tactics Course (at AOAS) is sufficient? Unless SAFTI MI has changed its model for advanced-officer training, IMO it's rare to see such a reverse-command appointment & promotion without prior BN CO experience.
LTCs for COs very common nowadays...
2 and 6 SIR CO also last time LTC. must go through SCSC course as u mentioned. but then, i know of 1 LTC who did not attend and he became CO. (IIRC)Originally posted by blitzonic:Not so simple. I was figuring that perhaps the 3 SIR stint was some sort of a special arrangement, to account for its urban-ops trials &/or if this LTC has a very technical-relevant background. But it can't be if what you say about other INF units is true ...
Mea culpa on confusing which is the higher authority: LTC or full COL. The Lieutenant-affix is the opposite at the higher level (LG vs. MG), so I sometimes lose track.
lol, according to all the info i have and what i've seen and heard. no, he did not get any of it. kengster regular alert!Originally posted by LazerLordz:If he had done his SCSC equivalent abroad, say at Army War College, then he can acheive his BN appt without much fuss.
see the part???--->"I was wondering why SAF never purchase semi-auto sniper rifles like M21 or M40. They provide more rapid fire power in enclosed urban operations where new targets might pop out more frequently."Originally posted by equlus84:I thought all INF and GDS BDEs got snipers in them? The snipers are attached to the battalions during ops. Maybe they are getting more and more into urban ops, so they want to have snipers organic to the battalions rather than having snipers attached.

So any weapons for "close-in" work? Like a sidearm or SAR21 / m203 just in case? Because I've seen US Marine snipers, usually arm their spotters with a M203.Originally posted by vitasoys:company marksman exist.im now in 3sir and company marksman belongs to hq company.theres only 2 sniper + 2 spotter ( a sergerant ) in every company for 3sir.and yea the weapon they use is mini hecke
