if you need to see the MO, you need to see the MO.Originally posted by Axton_Z:Im suffering from severe pain in my right leg. Its not the normal kind of pain, something like the whole leg including the bone is pain. As I booked out only yesterday afternoon, there are no polyclinics available for me to visit. Im in the 5th week of my BMT
I have to book in by 6pm today, and I have not seen a doctor about my condition.
I dare not see my MO because my CSM has told the whole platoon that whoever sees the MO for whatever reasons and miss out on any training will kenna RT(basically means cant bk out). 2 of my bunk mates was confined this week just because they att B even though their injuries were genuine.
What should I do? See the MO first? Or see a private doctor? But I dont think an MC from a private doctor wld be helpful... Can somebody advise please? Thanks!
Thats a big risk. Im not sure if my leg condition is serious for me to attend C...I would get confined for this weekend if att B.Originally posted by tarutaru:if you need to see the MO, you need to see the MO.
The only SAF accepted doctors I can see now are the hospitals. I dunno if they will charge me the subsidized rate since I have no referrals.Originally posted by Lin Yu:see a doctor first. don't get a permanent damage to regret later
yup yup.Originally posted by whitenoise:Sure, go to the A&E of any government/restructured hospital. You might have to wait a while but it's free if you present your 11B.
Really? NS men dont pay a cent when seeing doctors in hospital on mainland?Originally posted by whitenoise:Sure, go to the A&E of any government/restructured hospital. You might have to wait a while but it's free if you present your 11B.

I believe all is covered as long as you go to a public hospital or its referred to by MO.Originally posted by shade343:thats just for consultation only or does it include medicine, surgery ect ect?
Never do this! Xiao Lee is a good example for bypassing the proper chain of command. If the management make a big fuss about it, you might even be charged so don't be stupid.Originally posted by chanjyj:Go straight to your officer and go past the CSM.
I often did this. And when I got promoted, I allowed it. Some CSm/RSm can be !@#$ up assholes with a weird sense of self-esteem.Originally posted by pentan3008:Never do this! Go to the proper channel. You don't have to tell CSM the problem, just inform him that you are going to see your OIC or OC or whoever higher than him. Tell your CSM that he will not be able to solve your problem thus you are going higher. This is not breaking the chain of command.
You can also tell your CSM first. If he threaten you, you can go higher and higher than that of course there is consequences might be good or bad. Good is that your officer will support you and refer you to MO immediately. Bad is that you will be "marked" by your officer by trying to act injured but actually lazy. So 50-50 chance.
How is your SA with your officers? Better chance if you have good PR with them.
