Exit Permit and Reservist: How to NS Disruption/ Deferment?

I have just received a post from mindef telling me that I have been posted to an active signal bn for reservist. I was previously in the reserve.
I am in Singapore at the moment but will be going overseas for work soon for a duration of probably more than 6 months or longer.
What do I need to do? -
On the letter it also says I am liable for IPPT as I am posted to an active unit. I have never taken any IPPT since I finished my NS 6 to 7 years ago.

If he is PR at the same time working overseas, then he is excused.
However he can apply for exit permit of up to 5 years.
If he is not working but is a PR, he must have valid reason to be excused. If not, he must come back....

How do I show a contract to the unit after that? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of the efficiency provided by applying for exit permit online?
Does the exit permit period correspond to the employment contract length?

if its extended.. then renew the exit permit again....

If it's less than one year overseas for work, you can only apply for deferment. (The system may require you to do a makup ICT if there's a vacancy & leftover workyear time available, take note.)
If you've already received a SAF 100 & it clashes with your stint, then apply to defer accordingly through your unit. Upon approval, you'll receive the requisite exit permit & thereafter ensure that your passport reflects your absence from local shores.
If you haven't receive a SAF 100, then apply for the exit permit as per normal (3 months or more away) online or by post/fax. In turn, your unit shall be informed & won't call you up until it receives evidence you've returned home. You can renew or extend your exit permit from overseas.
Sorry, but you're liable for IPPT now. No more lobang if you can't take it during an ICT. Now the initiative is on yourself to book a session within the one-year window prior to your birthday. If you fail or default the test, then you're required to book a RT slot too, although your unit shall often be the one to do the latter for you. Non-compliance is a chargeable offence, so try to downgrade or stay overseas if you wanna siam IPPT totally. Good luck! -

Defer accordingly only if you've ALREADY received a ICT call-up letter. Otherwise, can safely act blur & apply "normally" for EP. I'd rather do everything via my unit out of convenience, but that's a personal choice.
What I meant earlier was that you cannot disrupt reservist if only you're away working for less than one year. Can only defer, geddit now? (Getting approved for disruption means your unit will likely post you out -- back to the holding list -- & drafting in a replacement to fill your spot on the nominal roll. Getting deferment means your unit will keep you on, but you'll probably have to do a makeup ICT if there's workyear time left, or run the risk of getting recycled on later when everyone's stood down.)What evidence are you referring to for them to confirm I am back in Singapore?
Immigration Dept can confirm your passport arrivals/departures.
