i have frens waitin up til 5months. -

Since your checkup is in Oct, i assume you are a poly student. I would say you would only get your letter earliest in Mar or Aprl if your enlistment date is In Jun/Jul or abit after that if its in Sept/Oct. My time i went for medical checkup in Nov and only got my letter in Apr.

i am a private student , not a poly student , i am 17 this yr only.

i dunno leh , my fren got his letter already , his medical is september de , and he got into march intake , his vocation is guards i think.

Private students are randomly placed into the 4 (or if you seperate the PTP and BMT than 8 intakes), you will normally get your letter a few months before your enlistment but of course there been people who only got it a few weeks before enlistment due to the usual cockup.

i did a checkup this year march , now enlisted in scdf in march 08 -
For your info,i was from sp last time,waited for almost one yr desprite me calling them up and ask,hence i think it base on luck as well.

I went for medical check-up last month 4 october and got my letter on the 4 weeks. Enlisting this december.

If you're still 17+, the most accurate answer is "at the first opportunity, or available vacancy, once you turn 18."
Unless you apply to go in under the VEES (Voluntary Early Enlistment Scheme) arrangement, that is. But must need parents' permission for this one. -
but my fren also 17+ why he got his letter already? and i also 17+ i havent got my letter? how to apply for vees scheme?

then why my fren got his letter already? when he is the same age as me he alos 17+ , is it becos his bday is on jan? then he march intake by the time he already 18 yrs old , then my bday is at march leh. will i receive my letter soon?
