NS Camps: Are Camera Phones Allowed?

  I know that camera phones are not allowed in any SAF camp... but can i still bring in one, but with the camera lens removed? Don't really wanna go buy non-camera phone just for reservist... and i've got a couple of old phones myself, but all camera ones Managed to remove the camera lens unit of my old NK6600, can pass???

  During my reservist, some of camp mates just bring their camera phones as usual. The RPs at the gate din bothered to check reservist personnels.

  Sure as long as the lense is removed i don't see why not.

  Ya lah... but you'll never know when they'll go, "Excuse me Sir, may I see your handphone?" Then you have to go to pass office to surrender phone... then you come out of camp then forget to collect dadadada...
  
  Think shouldn't be a problem at all right... as long as the phone has got no camera lens in it.
  
  The reason i wanna use my 6600 cos can still retrive emails, go on MSN via ebuddy and SMS... multi-task

  agreed.. they don't really bother about reservist people..

  nothing wrong with bring in camera phone, quite hard to get a phone without a camera. but then in SAF some units quite pariticular, coz they handle special documents.
  
  anyway... should be ok to bring in, else surrender the phone loh... use the sim card in a frens phone to call...
