  if i lose the retaining pin during the stripping/assembling of the m16, will it be 100% go DB for 7yrs? or my PC trying to scare us?
  
  and i have this bunk mate he went for his MO review as my PC asked him to as his health records didnt show anything abt him having leg injuries/illness yet he is C2L2 and excused lower limb.
  
  the MO will change his PES to B(P) as he is abit pui pui one so how will things go abt for him? recourse? and i heard frm my PC the next B(P) intake is in Dec so wad will he do till den?

  I think retaining pin can be replaced, its not that hard to find an item i feel as its main purpose is just to hold the thing in place. I do know some components can be bought at beach road while some can't but to make things simple, PC/PS will always say everything cannot replace. I thinking firing pin is 1 of the cannot replace things but i hardly touch the rifle after BMT.
  
  They might keep him in tekong do sai kang and wait for the obese BMT to start if hes really going to transfer since they cannot let him become a civilian again then reenlist again in Dec as far as i know. Chances of sending him elsewhere is also low since tekong is not really a unit and they can't anyhow sent people out.
  
  Go beach road i heard is go city hall MRT then walk but i don't remember since i never been there to buy things before.
  
  Maybe some others can give more confirm answers but this is my view from what i know or heard.

  beach road is go lavender mrt station...landmark is the passport-making building.
  then from there ask for directions..the shop people will point to ya straight.

  without the retaining pin, the rifle will not work. guess u can say that it's an important part of the m16 rifle.
  
  how to get beach road:
  Go to lavender MRT (exit ICA building)
  Walk past ICA building then u will see those big "longkangs" with a bridge.
  Cross the bridge then cross the road.
  Walk all the way straight.
  U will see a Police Post, bakery along the way.
  Just keep on walking and there will be a banner showing army market if i m nt wrong.

  Can take 145 from toa payoh (about 30 minutes journey)and alight after the stop opposite ica building (at blk 8 or sth, too long nv go forgotten already). Then walk further across the carpark can see police post and coffeeshop. Cross the road to the 3 storey building. The top level is where you want to go.
  
  If from lavendar mrt, go past ica building will reach sth like a market or what with provision shops and cross the road and will reach the carpark mentioned above.
  
  That's all I can remember.
  
  Anyway, weekends army market quite crowded... I rather go on weekdays if possible.

  u can actually buy "retaining"-pin in beach road, but I dont quite like it. If its parade use, its still ok. But if you anyhow use something brought from beach road, be careful when you go to range, dunno if you can still come back alive.
  
  Any way, its best to be truthful, as armskote man always have extra genuine pins. Anyway, SAR21 no longer need the pin already.

  next time you go beach road, spend some time going around the stores and look look see see, you will find many good stuff there.....

  yes. there is an emart in bctc. next to the canteen. but it's not opened daily.

  beach road is amazing man. wanna find out which parts can replace and which part can't just go there and ask the shop owners lor.

  ya, and you better hope the person who used that rifle before you was truthful as well...

  go out from Lavander MRT Control Station.
  
  Turn Right, go up the Escalator.
  
  On your Left you see the SIR Building.
  
  Cross over, and turn left, walk the primeter of the building (left side) and follow through, than u'll see a bridge after a right turn at the perimeter of the building.
  
  Cross the bridge..see a playground, directly behind the playground, u'll see a shop selling bags. in front of the shop (another shop is selling shoes and making of keys...
  
  You just walk downwards/inside more and you'll see a road with traffic light. Cross it and u'll see a small car-park that can park like around 20-25 cars if i didn't remember wrongly..
  
  than when u're at the car-park. u'll see a neighbourhood police post.
  
  in front of the police post station, u'll see a confectionery shop. just beside (behind the block, u'll see the obvious Bleach Road Market.)
  
  PS: if you can't see it, i can't think of anything to say then..
  
  Btw fyi: the shops are at the 3rd lvl. don't go to unit 16,17 and those near it, except for the 3rd shop near to the middle stair case which offers reasonable prices.
  
  got the other shop which is average price will be the first chinese shop on lvl 3 on our right side, just beside the malay stores facing the staircase.

  I grew up in the Beach Road area. Orientate yourself like this:
  
  Next to Lavender MRT is the ICA building. Behind them, across the canal, is Crawford HDB estate, which has a major road (North Bridge Board) bisecting about one-third into the residential area. The hawker center itself is located at the "further" perimeter of this estate, bordering another major road (Beach Road).
  
  Stand outside the MRT entrance so that the ICA building is on your right side. The beeline between you & the latter is actually southwards on a compass, & the hawker center is further down the same direction too. Keep this overall bearing in mind as you venture forth: cross the canal bridge, cut across Crawford Court (i.e. HDB block nos. 460-plus's), cross North Bridge Road at the traffic right, walk down either the car park or HDB block no. 7 &, before you see the NPP post straight ahead, the bigger hawker center behind it will already be conspicious too.
  
  When you finish shopping at the army market, I recommend the Sarawak-style chilli noodles one floor down. Of course, you can then cross Beach Road (overhead bridge only) & go ogle at the Thai girls at Golden Mile too ~lol~
