  I've been noticing a lot of chatter related to M16 parts.
  
  Here's what I'd like to advise you guys. Whatever parts you may get at Beach Road, is not range-certified nor may it stand up to safe usage in your exercises.
  
  If you lose your pins, go to the armskote specialist and work something out with them. Normally they are quite understanding. It is BMT, and your instructors will understand if these things happen, of course they will yell and curse and throw you extras.
  
  But do understand, a rifle is a lethal weapon, and a rifle requires working, rated parts to function safely.
  
  This is a safety issue affecting not just you, but for your fellow mates as well. The parts in your rifles have been tested for metal fatigue and structural rigidity before being certified for live-firing usage.
  
  (I'm speaking as a armament specialist (small arms) here)
  
  I don't really want to see a thread about dead recruits and exploding rifles here.

  just wanna add my personal experience that not all parts from Beach Road are genuine parts...I have personnally seen a M16S1 washer from there split into 2 after dropping from a height of 1 rifle.
  
  dun happily buy from there and think its the same...
  
  and in case anyone interested in what happened to my rifle after that...I talked to my armskote guy and we settled the issue.

  During my BMT, i got a friend also get his PES status change from B to BP.
  Our intake was in the Sept and the next BP intake in Dec.
  He continue to stay with us doing saikang. Become CQ assistance lor. Till near Dec when we going to POP, then he got transferred to another coy for his BP BMT.
  
  By then he already can get silver IPPT training with us. Hahaha
