lotsa rec get scolding cuz after they check clear, they dun aim and just anyhow squeeze trigger.Originally posted by Gordonator:always make it a habit to check clear for any weapons u are holding on to. be it yours or anyone's else. do not assume that it's already cleared. it never hurts to play safe.
Yes.Originally posted by stellazio:lotsa rec get scolding cuz after they check clear, they dun aim and just anyhow squeeze trigger.
Of course I am right. I specialise in guns big and small. Pistol to 76mm. What do you think?Originally posted by BeEtHoVeN:does not really matter whether double feeding or no feeding, once you squeeze the trigger, and there is double feeding, there won't be enough energy to push the bolt carrier back, tested and proven. the energy from the explosion of the previous round is used to reload the next round if u get what i mean. sorry for the crude terms, i swear that army makes u stupid
theres no rounds, so every1 just check clear half-heartedlyOriginally posted by Gordonator:always make it a habit to check clear for any weapons u are holding on to. be it yours or anyone's else. do not assume that it's already cleared. it never hurts to play safe.
Play safe... You won't know what may happen.Originally posted by 105090:theres no rounds, so every1 just check clear half-heartedly
unless go field camp, range, fibua, i dont think theres other times where the rifle is used. the other times is just for cleaning, route marches drills only, all no need rounds, check clear also a bit useless
well said!Originally posted by Gordonator:treat your weapon like how u treat your wife/girlfriend.
u need to strip her, clean her, lubricate her, squeeze her. give her all your love. a good shoot depends on how u treat her.
Ejection port.Originally posted by wonderamazement:Is not sticking your finger into the bolt hole counted? Forgot what's the actual name, the one which flaps open after firing...
the flap thing at the side of the M16 right? dust cover..Originally posted by wonderamazement:Is not sticking your finger into the bolt hole counted? Forgot what's the actual name, the one which flaps open after firing...
same principles...Originally posted by Herzog_Zwei:Any armament specs from commandos or spec ops?
Open secret that SAF has AK-47s for their commandos training but is the weapon safety of AKs any different?
Regardless of weapon, safety principles are the same.Originally posted by Herzog_Zwei:Any armament specs from commandos or spec ops?

1) Upon receiving weapon [ whether from armskote or other sources ], WEAPON CHECK CLEAR!
2) Finger off the trigger AT ALL TIMES.
3) Weapon ALWAYS pointed downwards [unless contacted or Range or whatever then different story liao la, lols ]
4) Safety ON
you obey this 4 rules and nothing will go wrong, period.

When you check clear, aim into the sky and away from crowds, buildings and do NOT do it in a training shed. Go out of the shed.
Actually, over oiling traps dirt. If in an actual firefight and you are outnumbered, several safety measure go out the window for me.( if using m16a) I got a jam and I don't yell IA, I fire a round into the air and move away from my last firing position. That shot fired should help clear the chamber, if it doesn't, you should get a chamber explosion which is very bad. At least, if you are still alive, you can get out your ET tool and bayonet to close and fight instead of being caught pants down trying to clear the jam.Originally posted by Rockhound:should a weapon be well oiled?
i used to oil thickly on the request of instructors but once in unit...i use my fingers to just oil thinly....not too much that it is gross to handle and not too little that rust develops
ET tool? I can't imagine fighting with that?Originally posted by Herzog_Zwei:Actually, over oiling traps dirt.
