I almost forgot the color of the 11A until I remembered an incident in South Thailand when I lost it and made a police report there but got detained and interrogated because the Officer in Charge didnt believe my story until a relative turned up with my passport to prove that I was a Singaporean.Originally posted by LazerLordz:And Short Ninja is old enough to remember 11A i think.

Stats is easy once you figure out that the name of the game is not how you get the numbers, but what the numbers tell you. On any day it beats literally abducting a paranoid schiz to involuntarily admit her to a psych ward - been there, done that, don't ever want to do it again. That crazy people stuff is just bad juju, man.Originally posted by chanjyj:Ah.. stats.. I hate that most - it will probably drive me crazy and I'll have go for a little consultation wth you

Hey Ninja! Yeah, been busy - just finished a major project. 18,000 people surveyed, 1,200 reports produced, the survey was delayed by one week but the reporting schedule remained unchanged and the idiot web developer who built the online survey software made a programming error that corrupted the data. Ended up working 18-hour days, plus one 27-hour and one 26-hour stretch of programming and analysis. It was almost like battalion proficiency test all over again. Oh yeah, and somewhere in between I got married.Originally posted by Short Ninja:Yo Gedanken how are you doing these days? Havent seen you around here for quite a while.
Congratulations......so you got married to an ang mor or what? Nevermind you dont have to answer this silly question. As you get older you have to slow down a little I used to be able to work hours and hours non stop like I hardly sleep but those tough Army days are long gone and I would be inviting a heart attack if I continue to do the same thing at my age.In my free time I am just here fooling around as usual.Wishing you a happy marriage that will last a lifetime cuz I got married 3 timesOriginally posted by Gedanken:Hey Ninja! Kiwi.. awww.. you're a lucky man...Originally posted by Gedanken:Thanks, Ninja and chan! Yup, she's Kiwi, so you can imagine the fun we have with accents.
Anyway, Ninja, continuing to work that way is definitely not on my agenda because the only thing it says is that I haven't gotten the process under complete control - I really needed to keep track of what was going on at the client's end and get ahead of the game instead of rushing to keep up with it. It's the same as in combat, I guess - lose the initiative in battle and you're going to have a hardtime.
I'm an even more lucky man for the fact that she puts up with my crap.Originally posted by chanjyj:Kiwi.. awww.. you're a lucky man...
Is Changi Europa still there? I saw pics of Kuru & Peter then wondered how fat and old they have become...we all grow old but I am still trying to beat aging by exercising and feeling young.Maybe Sgforum is the only place where I can travel though time and be young forever There would be a time when you let go of your army buddies and never look back, your time will come someday, even old warriors doOriginally posted by Gedanken:I'm an even more lucky man for the fact that she puts up with my crap.
My wife's not familiar with the military environment, and it was pretty funny when I got together with some of my batch guys. SWO Kurusamy happened to be in the neighbourhood at the time and joined us, and doing the gentlemanly thing he bought her a beer. When the guys started making a big deal about it, she asked me, "Is he important?".
Sadly, Europa is long gone. I still remember the days when Bala and gang used to virtually own the place.Originally posted by Short Ninja:Is Changi Europa still there? Well, the passage of time will always take its toll. I think guys like Kuru and Estrop are aging quite gracefully.

As a trainee he knew how to stay out of trouble and some of us did brand him as 'Angkat Bodek' but he was ok and level headed. He earned my respect when we were in the same course and he knew what my gang was up to but didnt sarbo us after that we all got along fine.In the old days 'Drunk'Bala couldnt handle his drinks but lucky he & Raja Singh had Clarence Tan backing he mellowed down after the Orchard Towers incidentOriginally posted by Gedanken:Yup, he was CSM of 1 Coy (I think) when I was serving. I caught up with him at Hendon's specialist mess recently - top bloke.
