Q3: By right yes, but normally they just acknowledge each other. -

CPT for MO, LTA for officers, 2SG (internal promotion) for specs.
On parade yes, generally most won't and 2LT would almost never demand a WO to salute him anywhere else but during a parade. -

They are still required to go through OCS but i think the training might not be exactly the same since their focus is not going to be combat but that i am not sure.
There is no vocation that is utmost important in SAF. All vocations from commando down to the clerk are important to the SAF. -

btw i heard rumours in my company office that in the near future PTP batch fellas will have their BMT extended from 13 weeks to 17 weeks, do u think it will happen? -
Training has been changing all the time. Many things like urban ops etc being done in BMT was not done during my time. MOs..
Basically when someone who qualifies and wants to pursue studying medicine, he can apply for disruption after BMT, to pursue medical studies, provided he also agree to become an MO.
Upon graduating, he goes to School of Military Medicine and OCS, then commissioned as a Captain.
There're NSF and regular MOs, all fully qualified doctors, minimum rank CPT. -

nursing officers have a degree in nursing...

Techs no longer get their 3SG like us. If after MSCC they still go to 2SG, no more 3SG in MES liao ah :p
I don't think they will get 2SG if not theres no point demoting everyone from 3SG to CPL mah but won't concern me, i keep my rank and won't promote anyway. -
