You have reached 16 1/2 years old and therefore are liable for National Service Registration under the Enlistment Act Chapter 93.
I received this leafet...budden do I need to do anything to defer? Some say need to register at NS portal and defer, some say dunch need to care as they defer for us...so how?
The purpose of this leaflet is to provide you with some information about National Service.
We hope that the information could help you prepare yourself better for full-time National Service.

if u got place in poly they will help u defer one u dont need to do anything

Not to worry if it's only an information leaflet ("...are liable for..."). Like eac said, wait for the proper notification notice to register for NS.

Probably cuz they're in govt schools (JCs or Polys). Contact their student liason office if they've not applied for deferment on your behalf.
Private-school students must do it on their own, I believe, so get your documents ready if that's your status instead. Approval is also granted on a case-by-case basis; the set conditions should be available at the NS portal. -
