Btw, noticed RSAF No. 4 and Army No. 4 seem to be of a slightly different colour-anyone can confirm? -
the taiwan No. 4 looks like our gortex jacket pattern

and i don't think rsaf and saf no. 4 are different.. you mean from different supplier meh? -

Most uniforms copy each other-but if you look at the website... singapore copy until almost 100% exact match, cm for cm

The RSAF emarts sell the same no 4 as the army ones so why would it be different?

The RSAF seems to be more saturated in colour (how else to describe I dunno) -
OK... it seems more likely in this case that the commandos are wearing non-standard No. 4, cause I don't think FDS uniforms would be different from the Army ones?
I do duty on a regular basis with SBAB FDS, don't think their No. 4 is different from my BMT issues.
Maybe they're just newer.

There has been improvements in the No. 4.
In the past, whatever size shirts and pants you get, the pockets are the same sizes.
Now it look more proportionate. -
Anybody here used the early generation uniforms that faded to grey?
The uniforms up to the mid 90s were lighter greenish shade. From then on, it went on to a darker brownish shade. Plus there are minor differences with the pockets, etc........... Still copies of the old US ERDL patterns. -

I think also maybe different batches of cloth there maybe slight different in the shade of green. During my time, those who wear S size no 4 shirt and M size no 4 pant, the shirt always appeared lighter in color.

it's good to pair your no.4 shirt and pants correctly. if not, u might end up wearing a faded shirt and a very green pants.

I had this funny habit of picking out new no.4 sets with more khaki and brown in the uniform. -
