  Some HDB heartlands have army supplies stores, or at least shop sections selling the relevant field-camp stuff. Hypermarts, too.
  
  There're also other longtime specialist outlets besides those at Beach Road. Two that come to mind are Chinatown (Sng Arms) & Bugis (the floor above the hawker center).
