  Yesterday we dropped the anchor in harbour and the 3 biggest offciers on my ship rushed down from their place thinking the ship was breaking apart in harbour.

  Nothing wrong...except we never informed the higher up that we were gonna conduct a hands-on training on emergency anchor dropping.

  You never heard a 2240kg anchor being dropped right? The vibrations and noise produced were really tremendous. Much of this was produced as the chain gets pulled along with the anchor.
