goretex boots are produced for u to purchase at emarts. they are lighter, flexible, waterproof yet breathable, and cost a bit more...
leather: $80 ++?
goretex: $120 ++? -

Hmm... the issuing of boots seem to be different among the different intake of bmt. The mono intake will receive one pair of goretex and one pair of normal leather boots while those in tekong will receive two pair of leather.
My mono intake friends in cdo, SAR and SIR received one goretex and one leather boots. -

and the half year reduction in ns also saves a lot a lot of money... combined the allowances, cookhouse foods/money paid to suppliers, bunk logging... -
