downgrade during reserbist

  can i just drop by my neighborhood medical center after ord to visit the friendly MO for a downgrade? supported by specialist letter.
  
  or is there any special procedures? any specific medical center?

  ur neighbourhood doctor is only gp nia... words carry less weights... their memo only can excuse ippt/rt for a few weeks.
  
  best is a specialist letter from hospital... govt or private... the important statement in the letter is "in view of his medical conditions, pls downgrade the patient accordingly"
  
  if the specialist is some big shot like head of department in his medical field, letter put this is the best "i strongly recommend this patient to be downgraded."
  
  armed with this powerful letter, arrange for a medical review via www.ns.sg of the medical appointment booking system. visit unit medical centre doctor and request for medical downgrade liao.

  got a friend, got a specialist letter from SGH to downgrade to C9.
  
  Went to medical board review, only downgrade to C2L2

  at least downgrade what... c2 and below no ippt liao... even in reservist...

  need to arrange thru ns.sg right? not just walk-in medical centre?

  Don't get what you mean. Which medical center are you talking about -- private GP/govt polyclinic, or SAF unit's?
  
  If you mean more in terms of "endorsing", go report sick during your next ICT & give the MO a copy of your medical report. Ditto if you're reporting back for FFI. He'll decide accordingly whether to arrange a future medical review (while letting you continue your civilian treatment), or send your docket further up the COC for medical boarding.

  1) go see a specialist abt your prob and get him to give u a recommendation letter.
  
  2) go ns.sg and arrange for a med request yourself. take note that u will not be paid as it's self requested. or u can wait till your next ict or phase 1 or 2 ffi. but by that time, usually no point liao.
