different units under differnet commands.Originally posted by wonderamazement:What's the difference between the US Green Berets and Delta Force?
Actually Special Forces is SFOD-A, B and C. It depends whether it is the A-team, B-Detachment (company level), or C-Detachment (battalion level).Originally posted by Rockhound:Special forces- SFOD-A
Delta Force- SFOD-D
US Army Special forces more to training indigenous troops of ally country they are in...train them in guerrilla warfare...assist these groups..
Delta force is the US army CT unit
remembered..A teams work together with rebels and militants ...12 people i think...a 1 unit army... able to incite full blown battles together with local troopsOriginally posted by Icemoon:Actually Special Forces is SFOD-A, B and C. A, B, C teams are commanded by captains, majors and lieutenant colonels respectively. Charlie Beckwith intended Delta to be commanded by a colonel.
yup .. SFs do more UW than DA. This is evident in the final exam for selection - Robin Sage.Originally posted by Rockhound:remembered..A teams work together with rebels and militants ...12 people i think...a 1 unit army... able to incite full blown battles together with local troops

This guy used to clown a lot when he was a corporal but he does his job well and he never backstab anyone to compete for promotion I am happy for him that he went this far.A former SOF member and a soldier you could rely on 100%Originally posted by Master -_-:i like his moustache...looks like the pringles guy..i even call him Encik Pringles very very nice guy..no wonder he got rejected...
i always wanted to be selected for Ranger phase
yeah...he used to tell me alot of stories... wonder if he knows what classified is and what is not..Originally posted by Short Ninja:This guy used to clown a lot when he was a corporal but he does his job well and he never backstab anyone to compete for promotion I am happy for him that he went this far.A former SOF member and a soldier you could rely on 100%
Yeah we are the same age. What he told you is already disclassified as old stuff cuz every few years the training and doctrine changes. So it will make it harder for former SOF members to hijack planes>Originally posted by Master -_-:yeah...he used to tell me alot of stories... wonder if he knows what classified is and what is not..
i reckon ur around the same age if not older than him?
I understand exactly what you mean Ged and its perfectly ok to have different opinions here.He may not project a good impression as a leader to many people but I am looking at his soldiering soul and say that I would rather have him in my team then someone who would shoot me in the back when the going gets rough.Originally posted by Gedanken:Don't get me wrong, Ninja. I wholeheartedly agree that he's a top bloke. It's just that his command and control wasn't great, and he had damn bad luck taking over from LTC Ng and Tua Chiew who ran things so smoothly.
Yeah, I'll happily agree with that - he's definitely a good guy to have on your side.Originally posted by Short Ninja:I understand exactly what you mean Ged and its perfectly ok to have different opinions here.He may not project a good impression as a leader to many people but I am looking at his soldiering soul and say that I would rather have him in my team then someone who would shoot me in the back when the going gets rough.

One thing that really surprised us was when he took part in a 100M run. he was pretty pudgy when he joined 2 Coy, but damn, could he move!
