Care for Gore tex boots?

  i heard that Kiwi is not to be used on the boots... true or not?

  i think the threadstarter is right, kiwi shouldn't be used on boots at all. use peanut butter instead. it will give it a good shine.

  IMO Goretex boots are best for "in-camp" use.... Its comfy and soft... use it in camp like parade, going cookhouse, office work and even some training like SOC, BCCT / ACCT...
  
  Not very suitable for field training... although its water proof but wear n tear is inevitable.. afterall, goretex is still a fabric... and dont forget those Concertina wires!! The fabric also trap dust and sand particles, which will make cleaning very tough... so most of us bo chap n kiwi.... in the end the goretex part become shiny and very inflexible...
