i just used a candle to burn the front part of my parade boots to try and remove the liquid kiwi. but i donno how to tell if all the wax has been removed.
Alamak, how can burn to remove, deh? Next time, use a stiff brush or toothbrush.
When using fire, you're (already) trying to melt the wax polish. Overdo it & you're singe the leather itself. I dunno how thick your initial coating is -- although, as long as there's no permanent damage, the leather is resilient enough to tahan continuous polishing. In fact, regular coating & buffing will maintain the leather, in keeping it supple & preventing any drying-up (& cracking).
