NS Disrupt for Further Studies: Call 1800-3676767 Ask? How?

I'm currently in year 1 poly and going year 2 in april.
I have already defered my NS till 2010 last year but currently,i feel that i would rather serve NS first before completing my studies.
WHat i hope is to be able to finish my second year of my poly education which would end next april,2009.
I have approach the registar of the poly and they claim i would have to produce accompanying documents-saf/11b or any documents for personal reasons.
Because i have defered my NS till 2010 last year,mindef will no longer send me any letters until i have completed my poly education.
What should i do? -

From what i heard,they requrie valid reasons but mine is a personal reason of "wanting to serve ns first". -

i don't think such policy exist..
you wanna get early enlistment just go to cmpb..

I heard and know of people who return for their final year after NS but now the concern is the approval by the school? -

coming here to ask 'what if poly dun approve the application' is useless when u didnt even have any official documents/letters from mindef to give ur poly, since ur poly wants concrete proof or something from mindef...
if u really desperate, kindly pls make a trip down to cmpb 1st thing in the morning tmr, and seek assistance from the customer service personnel from the pre-enlistee enlistment department....... they r the ones who can really really help u. -

i remembered some news abt some university pple, gals/guys, defers uni studies for a period to start a business venture... and going overseas to do some voluntary work...
but for this guy early ns deferment... i never heard of.. -

The difficulty, as I see it, is more with the Poly side. I don't think any of the local institutions allow for course deferment in order to serve NS, unless the student has received an enlistment letter first. Furthermore, if he's successfully deferred NS in order to study, then this deferral is formally in effect until he graduates (or drops out of his course).
The world doesn't revolve around him, so to speak.
