if U are the parent...would U have not got legal help if U have the means?Originally posted by Fatum:the lawyers were call in .... something which only the parents could have paid for ..... that goes to show how much the parents over protect him
as a chap who has served NS before, I'd know better than to call in outside lawyers in a court martial ... it's only an exercise in futility ... you can try to fight against the system, but the system will always win ... why do you think tis case was leaked to the press ? ... in trying to stir up a hornet's nest and generating a shit load of trouble for a lot more senior people involved, it's a forgone conclusion that he won't be able to get away with it and will get slapped down hard .......Originally posted by Xcert:if U are the parent...would U have not got legal help if U have the means?
Sorry but it is "Allen & Gledhill", not "alan and glenhill". In any case Wendell Wong is from Drew & Napier.Originally posted by Fatum:not to worry .... if mommy can marshal alan and glenhill to defend sonny against the big bullies in the SAF, mommy can park sonny off to a college in the states or australia nevermind ...
nope, i think its if you go db for extended period of time. i forgot the duration leOriginally posted by zaxis:NUS, NTU & SMU
all above entry will be shut.
if serve DB cannot enter these U, even space reserve also release to waiting list people.
it really depends on whether you think the legal help would help.Originally posted by Xcert:if U are the parent...would U have not got legal help if U have the means?
sorry, my bad ...Originally posted by JLennon:Sorry but it is "Allen & Gledhill", not "alan and glenhill". In any case Wendell Wong is from Drew & Napier.
WW used to be a DPP before moving to Drew. Since the Andrea De Cruz case (in which he was her counsel), every other Mediacorp artistes seem to engage him. That's fame for you. Not sure about his fees though. I am sure this turd can release a book on his seven day ordeal in DB to pay those legal fees.Originally posted by Fatum:sorry, my bad ...
so he's some famous lawyer chap ? .... how much does he charge per day I wonder ....
it's not the first time he's been charged .... and he didn't wake up from his idea ....Originally posted by iceFatboy:I think yes, this private is in the wrong. but i feel, there should be some latitude.
Nowadays, youngsters are very different than from the past.
They are more outspoken, educated, and more assertive.
It is no surprise that these cases are in the media spotlight.
we are in the information age, right?
In the past, when I was serving army, it was also told to us, going DB will hurt us cause it may means a delay in going to Uni , etc etc.
You can be outspoken, educated and more assertive but that does not grant you the right of insubordination.Originally posted by iceFatboy:I think yes, this private is in the wrong. but i feel, there should be some latitude.

which is why this punk must be taught wellOriginally posted by JLennon:You can be outspoken, educated and more assertive but that does not grant you the right of insubordination.
Quite sad lah.... saw him start off as a Jimmy Lin wannabe and then 'Aloy' in PCK and now end up like that. Do such teen artistes think that the world revolve around their insignificant lives? They are exposed to the society earlier than us and yet fail to grasp how the society actually works.Originally posted by de_middle:which is why this punk must be taught well
Yeah......his parents are at fault too.....just look at the amount of money his brain -dead mother spent on lawyers fees.....according to TODAY's report..... according to his mother's proud announcement...$80,000 big ones!!Originally posted by Fatum:I'm blaming the parents too ..... IMO it's the parents who molly-coddle their offspring that they turn into such brats .....
instead of sucking it up and taking it like a man ..... the lawyers were call in .... something which only the parents could have paid for ..... that goes to show how much the parents over protect him .... ho seh liao ... lawyers get called in, the press gets wind of this, and now he's all over the news ...... all his face's gone ....
welcome to the real world boi ....
Yeah.... greater level of education and assertiveness does not mean that you forget all about authority and good manners.Originally posted by JLennon:You can be outspoken, educated and more assertive but that does not grant you the right of insubordination.
Yes ...I totally agree that he cannot be counted as a white horse for his two bit child acting at TCS.....but sadly.....he sure THINKS he is.....hahahahaha!!!! a retard with an over expanded ego!!Originally posted by Fatum:I would hardly think that a two bit child actor from TCS would be counted as a white horse ...

When you engage a lawyer to fight a case for you.....99% of lawyers will tell you, you will have a very good chance of winning.......what they did not tell you is......they have 100% of winning your fees.........win or lose....lawyers rack in the $$$$$.. [/b]
that's right ... some chap (probably haven't served NS before) asked before if misery loved company ... that's not the point ... the point is that people like him, if he's allowed to get away thing such things, make a mockery of the rest of us who did our jobs and served our time conscientiously, and followed and obeyed orders, with nary a complaint ....Originally posted by fudgester:Yeah.... greater level of education and assertiveness does not mean that you forget all about authority and good manners.
Like it or not, there is no excuse for whatever he did. Like I said before, we've all been through the kinda crap he's been through..... in many cases, more than what he's been through.
If his actions can be excused due to his experiences, assertiveness and education, then I say that we can all act as hooligans.
What about Short n Sharp parades round the square during Starlight parade....@10pm with full packs on? Do they practice this anymore?.....During my NS days.....i've seen many DB detainees go through this drill....... very siong for their legs ....wahahaah!!Originally posted by tarutaru:Yes....they still shave detainees botak. Heard they also still march around except not in brick but in sand bag.
