Than when you go for your 2 weeks reservaists, they get 1 staff and ask you to teach him/her your job scope so that there will still be people who do your job for you when you are not in during the 2 weeks.
Than when you come back from reservaist, you received a notice from them that you got sacked.
Reason is because the staff is able to do your job together with his/her current job scope and so the company don't need you anymore.
Anyone experiened such a situation before?
They need not use "reservist" as an excuse.
Some other excuses like "lower pay required" is sufficient to kick the person out bah.
and they need not sack you immediately after you come back from reservaist. to make it less obvious, they could sack you a few weeks after you come back from reservaist

I can understand it from the corporate point of view though. This is a problem that Singaporean males face, and it's kinda harsh. :\
If you are looking out for justice to be done in your case, maybe you can just call up the related ministry (MinDef or MOM) and enquire about it.

U can always consult the MOM higher authority, if not hire a lawyer. This case I feel the company is in wrong. If his performance is lousy, you should compensate him/her in a rightful manner not just sack him after the reservist period.
