84mm course

Hi guys,
I going for 84mm course for my ICT next week. Just wanted to see if the guys here ever attend before.
Just wundering how siong the course is and if it is stay in?

firstly u must able to tahan the 16 kg and go for route marches
the fire-trench digging is no kidding...
after that must cover up with camou net and iron picket
most shiok is the live-firing...u feel like 34733454352065 ants biting your back in that split second

The latest version of this 84mm operated by other western countries is much lighter than the one used by SAF.

that's what my instuctor told me last time -
from a SIW instructor, M3 is almost half the weight of M2( the one we are using), the reason why SAF din upgrade to M3 is that performance-wise, it is the same as M2 as well as M3 is more fragile, requiring more care in handling, which is bad for a conscript army.
No more digging for the course, live firing will be the best experience you will ever get from NS, it costs a few k everytime u fire 1 round -

last time for my course:
morning start digging, then halfway thru go for fighting patrol (yes,a section of 84mms)
patrol finish liao, come back continue to dig
dig until we feel like burying up the instructors
but was quite fun ...all fellows 3SG from the same unit + 2 LTA (one taking over as the 84mm course PC, another to be a 84mm trainer in OCS)
whenever the SSG trainer want to come and fark us, the 2 officer sure come and help us one -
so whats the trg program like for the 2 weeks ...

for commanders' course, it sld be the best time of your life
8 o'clock till lunch (lecture or computer lesson or handling of 84mm)
lunch to 5pm (lecture or computer lesson or handling of 84mm)
there are too many canteen breaks in-between
after 5pm, nights-out till 2359
only have 4km route march, 1 outfield exercise and 1 live firing.
the worst is retrograde during the outfield exercise.
instructors are very friendly, helpful and willing to assist u in whatever problems u have. -

Live firing is kinda silly. Take so long to prepare and set up target board, miss liao still have to take down.
The fire-trench digging, I think is not in the IBOS right? -

And the live firing is not realistic. During actual missions, where got so heng tank stationery one? In all our battalion missions, never once were we told the tank is stationery.
