Minor changes to NSman IPPT

when i took IPPT last month, i found that there are some new changes to the system.
1, if u have achieved the passing grade for a singale station, u cannot retry again. i believe SAF is trying to cut down on ippt incentives...
2, if u fail a static station, u can choose not to take the 2.4km. this is good news cos got 1 time i saw a bochup NSman walk all the way for his 2.4km! everyone is waiting for the bugger to finish so that the 2nd batch can start. imagine all the time wasted waiting.

For the static station, it is usually two tries for shuttle run and standing broad jump. If you achieve the passing grade in first try, you still can try the second time. No changes for this for many years. For pull up and sit up, it is only one try.
For point 2, you can actually fall out and dun take 2.4KM, no matter whether u failed or pass the static station. For ICT or non-ICT IPPT, they will now keep ask you want to run or not. For my last ICT, one whole group of ppl walk the first round and then all fall out. Never complete the run at all. At Maju, the WO keep saying that if you dun wish to take 2.4km, must at least complete the 4 static station (fail also never mind), so that SAF can pay you S$10.

Why not they further "improve" it??
If nsman fail 1 static station, he can immediately outpro. If not, still have to wait for 2.4 to finish before he can outpro, even though he has already chose not to run!!

actually....i have have outpro once i finished my statics...because total score accumulated cannot make it one...the point is dun nid to wait till 2.4km...and that was in last dec...

fail one static if pass 2.4 still can retake that static station only in another sitting.btw if you dun wan to run, after all 4 static station you can outpro

Whoa so troublesome ah...Maju you finished all you can out pro liao....as long as you take the 4 static....fail you can even opt not to do 2.4 and out pro.

I may be wrong, but if u outpro before 2.4km, does it count as u have taken 1 IPPT? Because from what i remember, you must complete 2.4km and 4 static stations to constitute 1 ippt taken.
