Hello guys, to my disbelief, I got the commando letter asking me to report on the 20th Feb for interview.
I'm pesB, currently a mild obease and have not taken napfa. Got a bro at home.
Well, I got 2 questions.
- when is the commando mono intake
- how to not get into commando? i'm not a risk taker, besides i need to defer NS for some reasons which might affect my future (posted here last time)
good game.

You give them the reason to defer NS. PesB, Mild obesity, Brother at home (hahahahahah), not risk taker, are not valid reasons. Remember, when you are being interviewed, your aim should be to move the interviewer, not the organisation. The organisation does not have human emotions.
CDO intake twice a year. Jan and July. All mono. Cos our BMT is crazy......but fun ;p
Hey dude I couldn't find your post about whatever reason for you to defer but let me tell you this: CDO is fun. And good. You will like it there. Just try not to keng........or else.......
OK, enjoy the training!
hahaha type wrongly...maybe is in other forums.
From how many people will they hand pick their initial cohort of trainees?
Actually I seems quite excited about this but I the high injury rates and the fact that it might disrupt my deferment seems too ridiculous cause that 2 years is just a Serve and fuk off affair. So somehow I dont think its worth it considering long term.
Another question here. Should I not attend the VA, they cant do anything right? And if I'm selected, will receive the enlistment letter 1 week after the VA?
I received my letter asking me to go for interview also.
but i didn't care and didn't go for it.
in the end i end up in BMT tekong :)
No warning letters or anything come to me and i successfully ORD after 2 years :)
You've been shortlisted here on the basis of your basic PES status -- i.e. medical classification, rather than fitness level. They'll definitely test for your physical suitability during VA itself.
purposely fail their physical checkups loh.
eh...I tot NDU and CDO open to PES A ppl only? Also curious, I have Sinus Tarchycardia (irregular heartbeat), MO gave me PES B, I consulted my family doc. to ask what I can do to improve my situation. He was quite surprised that i got PES B, as he said if it were him, he wud classify me under PES C. Frankly, I would hope to be getting a PES A and be in a combat vocation. I don't look unfit (though abit overweight) and I'm active in outdoor sports such as trekking, kayaking, diving etc. So if there are any MOs or medics here, perhaps u can advise me on my situation?
Thanks

nope...i heard about a few pesB who got the commando letter. However most who got NDU letters are pesA.
CDO training quite insane one. If you can make it through, respect! Good luck!
