as above... what is CPC? what do they do? i think the CPC im refering to is this one near CMPB... or it is actually part of CMPB?
If i didn't remember wrongly CPC is control of personnel center or something like that. It is in the same camp as CMPB but is situated in the DSTA building or something.
CPC deals with all enlistess posting so enlistees fate is left to the clerks there since they won't bother to see where you stay when they post you but simply randomly fill up the vacancies in all the units for your vocation.
and its supposedly a top secret deparment.
As in, how they do their stuff is supposedly top secret.

CPC deals with the initial part of mono-intake and tekong posting/POP postings. after being posted to vocational courses, the chief clerk there at the training institutes' HQ got more say in the postings... like last time my vocational course, the chief clerk is kind enough to instruct her clerks to sort the personnel to camps based on the best possible nearest camp available to ur home... e.g. stay north side, all northern camps...etc.
in units, wihin the s1 br, s1 manpower officer, and chief clerk also got more say in a personnel posting... if not, then what a s1 branch for?

Nah, i got a friend who use to work in CPC and he says they will not look at address when dealing with unit posting. They just randomly fill in the vacancies given to them and submit the list to the units. Only posting within the unit is up to S1

The posting is done by the vocational course HQ? I thought it was CPC that sents them the posting order and they just facilitate the process. I stay in the north area but i was sent to Selarang camp all the way in the east for my vocational training. After that i was posted to Jurong camp in the west for a short period before my former OC came to talk to my current OC to have me transferred back. All in all, i was never posted to battalion at Nee Soon camp which is in the north but posted to the battalions in the east and west despite where i stay.
u still dun get it, do u?
i already said,... that last time my time after my vocational training, that my training institute HQ's chief clerk is kind enough to instruct her clerks....etc.
so for u n some of the rest, just too bad... ur training institute HQ chief clerk and the clerks just dun care. ...
