Mandai Hill Camp

  So can anyone tell me what 1SIR actaully is? I've been posted there as a rifle man and i know there are probably previous topics based on this but im having a hard time finding anything related.

   

  Also, bloody mandai hill camp, how do i get there from the orchard area?  any advice?

  190 to CCK int.

  at CCK int, change to 927 if i am not wrong.

  Take MRT to Woodlands or Yishun there should have buses there.

  its along mandai road, just beside the BKE mandai exit.

  1 SIR is a active infantry Bn

  you can take 190 to CCK then change 927,

  or take MRT to Yishun change 171 ; or MRT to AMK change 138.

  Both 171 and 138 stop 1 bus stop away from camp, so must walk. approx 5 mins walk

  U kanna wat coy?go to yishun interchange and then take 171.stop at mandai camp 2.then walk but as u are unfamiliar wif the place,it is best to take a taxi there.

  Just board the bus and ask the driver. Most of the time they'll be kind nuff to notify you when to drop since the passenger traffic not very high around the area.

  last time I was from mandai hill camp! :D

  That bus 927 really wait damn bloody long...

  and is like the only bus that goes to that camp...

  927's frequency abt 20min 1 bus.1 SIR usually nites' out on Wed (depends on u'r commanders of cse but that's wat I notice when I was with 2SIB/Sig ).Otherwise, a pretty gd place 2 be; relatively new facilities, literally cradle of the SAF, pretty gd food @ Spec Mess. It's ulu but u gotta get used to it; go in ,bear thru it, dun be anor Dave & 2 yrs will be over soon....

  The best way to report is always by cab... then from your camp... find out how to go home... that's the best and safest way...

  last time cab not so ex, can share cab...

  Actually got some other buses can take, but walk about one bus stop... Cannot remember which buses... The bus stops at the other side of SLE I think... Then about 10 mins walk...
