Wad did u do after u ORD?

Just a qn ppl, wad did u guys do after u ord?
For ppl like me who didnt do well enough during poly to enter Uni and sort of have no interest in yr previous area of study/courses, any suggestions wad to do?
I was thinking just get a freaking job on my area of study during poly ignoring my interest just to get a stable income 1st, then decide wad to do later.

i want to study but i dont want to make the same mistake like in poly, enrol in a course that i have no interest. Courses in Uni aint cheap also since i m not going to the usual Uni like NUS/NTU etc

if you got the mood to study then go for it lor.. if not start to work get some income riaos :) while working then you go think see you really need that cert or not? if not focus on working life :) rikes me :)

so u work immediately after u ord? may i ask how do u find yr job?

yup but all these uni u need a good sum of cash to cover. with my savings, i dont think i can afford
which means i have to work -
sian i also in the same situation as u now. study something tt i have no interest in during poly. i also just ord-ed and job hunting now... almost 3 weeks liao still hunting... want find job tt interest u also not easy.. i study IT yet i want find job in the retail industry.. hard right?

haha still finding job? in my opinion just find a freaking job get a decent pay then decide.

I did a stint as a relief teacher and then as an office administrator, and then visited the UK for a month before starting university. By the time I ROD'd, I couldn't wait to get back to school, and I spent the next eight years kicking asses and taking names.
And to think that a few months before ROD, I put my hand up for what was supposed to be the first NSF Ranger course, with the intention to sign on if I got the tab. Just as well it all fell through and they postponed the course for a year.

I used to siao Army a lot. Before enlistment, applied for Guards Spec in hope to get my poly studies sponsored. But failed.
During my training in OCS, I applied for 3 year Infantry Officer also failed.
While serving as a QM, I applied for Logistic Officer, failed again, scoring a hat-trick.
I was lucky, 2 weeks after my ORD in 24/12/05 I got myself as a clerk in a law firm. Totally no relevance to the electronic diploma that I got from Ngee Ann Poly.
I'm doing a part time UOL management degree with Stansfield College, coming May is my first year exams, stressed...
3rd year into my job, I missed my QM days. At least during my QM days, need to use brain a bit to plan things. My current job is everyday carry cartons to court or clients' office. If not, at night send summons. Sometimes send summons still kena threatened by people. Very shitty job. My direct manager seems to have no intention to train me in doing legal documents, very different from what I was told during my interview.
I felt like I'm serving my NS now actually.
While my sec sch female classmates, graduate with a decent local degrees (as compared to external ones), all got themselves decent jobs.
