Hi, is there a fast way to travel from Tampines to Jurong camp?
That's far...can take mrt to Jurong West or Boon Lay?
Take the MRT to Boon Lay, and transfer to a bus.
Check SBStransit's webby.
Take MRT then x-fer to SBS Sv 182 or 193...
193 is more frequent, 182 is semi express to Jurong Camp
how long will the bus trip be? thanks in advance.

Sv 193 would roughly take abt 20 mins to get to Jurong Camp, 8th bus stop from Boon Lay... For Sv 182 it would likely take 10 mins, 2nd bus stop from Boon Lay...
that insane isn't it....SAF force people to a camp faraway from home....is there any rationale in doing this...
SAF go eat shit!

If you are living somewhere near Jurong West,Jurong Camp is not far .
Think about the 2 Naval bases, one at Tuas and one located at Changi, which one is far?
As for freq... 193 would be 4 - 9 mins during peak hrs, 182 would be abt 16 mins during early morning bef 7am
as for fares... 193 would be $0.89 for aircon, $0.74 for non aircon... 182 woud be $0.67 for aircon, $0.62 for non aircon rides
for more info from SBS's webby

At first I was posted to seralang camp as a supply asst comms, which was very near my house. But right now, they are not that in need of storeman so I might be posted to either jurong camp or tekong...
Tekong was quite near for me, but I will be required to stay in :(

by the way, im pes c9l2
Reminds me of a platoonmate last time, booked out on Sat from Jurong Camp, boarded the MRT at Boon Lay, home was in Pasir Ris or Tampinese. He fell asleep on the train and when he woke up, he's back in Boon Lay. Made a whole round trip. Have to continue the ride back to Pasir Ris/Tampinese again...Dunno how many hours he actually spent for that trip. As if Singapore very big like that.
SBS services 182 & 193 are pretty terrible. 193 still not that bad but 182 is the worst! The frequency is damn long and the queue for the bus is insane. The worst thing is having to squeeze in the bus with banglas. Imagine those scenes in India's buses, it's about the same. A lot of time the bus is already full and then the driver kept shouting 'take the next bus!!' but there will still be about 20 banglas trying to squeeze in! Not kidding. It's so packed, you can't even move your finger! Must tolerate the odour but the worst scenario is to get your belongings pickpocketed!
Sv 182 now gets non aircon double decks liao
yah but most of the time it's single decked.
